Trip ReportsIn April the Seven Seas completed her last Raja Ampat trip of the season, taking in the Banda Islands & ending in Ambon. A fabulous time was had by all, with highlights of the cruise including sightings of the rarely seen beaked whale, as well as huge pods of dolphins & melon-headed whales playing in a mirror-like Banda Sea. Underwater we had some exciting interactions with mantas, walking sharks & wobbegongs in R4 and mating mandarinfish in Banda. A tour around Banda's historic town ended with a visit from some of the kids whose school shuttle boat we sponsor & we were introduced to Novi, who is about to begin a university degree funded by the Seven Seas Banda Education Program. Our guests kindly donated to this worthy cause, contributing a further $600 to the program. Breathtaking scenery & beautiful sunsets, enjoyed from secluded white sand beaches over aperitifs, completed this glimpse of paradise! To hear more about the trip firsthand, read the testimonials on our website: www.thesevenseas.net/guestbook/.![]() Novi (top left) & the kids from Banda The Seven Seas is now on her way to Komodo, having completed yet another amazing trip to Alor - these trips just get better every time - and we still have spaces on the next one this September! Here's what Mark had to say on Day 2: "Yesterday at Shark Point, Lembata - heaps of sharks, Minke whale on the surface, dolphins, mobulas, eagle rays & massive doggies & giant school of bonito on dives. En route to Komba - sperm whale encounter, then great fireworks until 10 pm! Flat calm, now in Alor."
